Use the Desk in ChatGPT
Add the Desk to ChatGPT or the Claude app with one address, then ask about any team or player the Desk covers, with no sign-in. For a forecast or your own teams, you sign in with your email.
Add the Desk to ChatGPT
Section titled “Add the Desk to ChatGPT”The Desk's address is:
https://thetennisdesk.com/api/mcp- On the web, open ChatGPT's plugins page,
chatgpt.com/plugins, choose the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. - Name it The Tennis Desk, paste the address under Connection, and choose OAuth.
- Accept the warning, then choose Create as a plugin.
Then ask ChatGPT about a team you know.
Add the Desk to the Claude app
Section titled “Add the Desk to the Claude app”- At claude.ai, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it The Tennis Desk, paste the same address, and choose Add. Nothing under Advanced settings needs filling in.
The connector then works in the Claude app on your phone and computer too, so you add it once.
What you can ask
Section titled “What you can ask”Your agent can look up records, rosters, standings and Desk levels for any team or player the Desk covers. A Desk level is the Desk's estimate of how a player is playing now. Agent tools has a question to try for each tool.
Forecasts and your own teams need you signed in. Past your free forecast each week, you get the free part of the answer, but ChatGPT then says the rest needs a Desk Pass, the Desk's paid plan. In the Claude app you also get a link to buy the pass, which is tied to your account. Sign in with a pass, and ChatGPT gives you every answer in full too.
Sign in for your own teams
Section titled “Sign in for your own teams”When you ask about your own teams or for a forecast, your app opens a Desk page to sign you in, because those answers are about you.
- Check that the page names your app. Then type your email and choose Email me a code.
- Type the 6-digit code from the email and choose Sign in.
- Choose Continue, and you're back in your app.
Your app then asks the Desk as you, on the Desk account with the email you typed. If no Desk account has that email, signing in makes one. To stop an app, choose Revoke beside it on the agent page.
How many calls you get
Section titled “How many calls you get”Each ChatGPT account gets 40 tool calls a day and 150 a month, which are counted apart from your questions in the Desk's chat. One question can take two or three calls, because your agent may find the team first.
In the Claude app, each conversation gets 40 calls a day. Signed in, you get your own 40 a day and 150 a month, which no one else uses up. A day's calls come back at midnight Pacific time, and a month's on the 1st.
The Desk records how pages are used, including what is typed, and keeps recordings for up to 30 days, as the terms explain.
