Send the announcement

The Desk writes a short message about your team's next match. You send it yourself, from your own email or chat, so nothing goes out from the Desk.

On the team page, tap “Announcement for the club” under the summary, then choose Copy the announcement, or Email the announcement to open it in your email app. It shows only when the team has a match on the schedule, but it needs no account.

The text says who your team plays, home or away, and when. It names none of the other team's players and gives no Desk level, the Desk's estimate of how a player is playing now. It ends with a link to the team page, after “Roster, every match and the schedule:”.

Signed in, choose Announcement for the next match beside a team in the sidebar, and the page shows “The text, as it will be sent” with the same two buttons.

When the page can't write one, it says why:

The page says: “Create a free account with your email to write your team's announcement. You also get 1 free forecast a week.”

“This is not one of your teams this season.”

“No match is on the schedule for this team yet.”

With a Desk Pass, the paid plan, the announcement page adds “Suggested lineup”, with each line's win chance when the Desk covers the other team too. Its table gives your chance to win each line under “Your chance”, your players' Desk level there under “Your level”, and the other team's under “Their level”.

The text you send keeps the chances but leaves the levels out. Without a pass, Add the suggested lineup opens the pricing page.

A line where you change a name loses its win chance, because the chance comes from who has played that line. The page marks that line “Changed, so no win chance”.

Sometimes the Desk has no lineup or no win chances to suggest, and the page tells you which.

The page says: “The Desk has no recorded lineup for this team yet, so there is no suggested lineup.”

“No win chances for this match: one or both teams have too few players with a Desk level.”

In a Combo, Mixed or 55 and over league, each suggested pair's NTRP ratings add up to the league's level or less, and are at most 1.0 apart. When no pair the Desk can check fits a line, that line comes empty with the reason under it, and you fill it yourself. A player whose rating the Desk doesn't hold is named under the lineup, so you can check that pair before you send it.

The Desk records how pages are used, including what is typed, and keeps recordings for up to 30 days, as the terms explain.
