Club page

A club page shows how all of a club's teams are doing in one season.

The top of a club page sums up its season in a few lines.

  • “Teams in” and the year count the club's teams that season, and how many are playing now.
  • “Players on its rosters” counts each person on its rosters once.
  • “Against other clubs” gives its record against other clubs' teams.
  • “Next match” gives the club's next team match, or “None scheduled”. It's left off when the page shows the week, which starts with that match.

“Against other clubs” is the club's wins, losses and draws against other clubs' teams. A match between two of its own teams gets a row of its own, because the club can't win or lose it.

“The week” lists the club's team matches in the next 7 days.

  • “Team matches” lists each match, soonest first. Tap to see more than the first few.
  • “Things to watch” come from the schedule, rosters and scorecards, so no AI writes them. Each kind of check is named once, with everything it found listed under it.
  • “Same-day rosters” means two teams play on one day and share players. For example, your 3.5 team and your 4.0 team both play Saturday, and two people are on both rosters.
  • “Lines not fielded” shows a team that has lost a line by default this season, because it put nobody on that line.
  • “Days in a row” means a team plays on back-to-back days.
  • “Plays the first-place team” shows a team playing whoever is 1st in the unofficial table.
  • “Rematch after a loss” means a team meets one that beat it last time.
  • “Two home matches in a day” flags two or more home matches on one day in the next 14 days.
  • “Listed under an earlier round” flags a match listed under a past round's week, which often means it moved.

Brief me in the chat fills the chat's box with “Brief me on” and the club's name. Press Enter to send it. Signed in, the chat sums up the week and checks, usually in one or two sentences. Signed out, you get up to 3 of the club's checks and facts word for word, and any view the chat adds is labeled “The Desk's read.” A briefing counts toward your chat limits, so it uses one question.

“Teams by league” sorts the club's teams by kind of league, so its mixed teams sit together. A group with a team playing now starts open, but out of season the group with the newest result does. Tap any other group to open it.

  • Each row gives the league, the team's place in the unofficial table, its record, and a square for each team match. The column head says when a place can still change. A phone shows only the newest squares, but the team's page has them all.
  • A row with a dash for its place is missing some of its league's results, because some teams in that league play clubs outside the Desk's areas.

While a team can still finish first, if every scheduled match is played, its row shows one of these three.

  • “Can still finish first” means it can end alone in first, but winning its own matches isn't enough to make sure of it.
  • “Finishes first if it wins every match left” holds whatever the other teams do.
  • “Can at best tie for first” means its best finish is a tie with the leaders, and the league's tiebreaks then decide first place.

No status on a row means the team can't finish first, has no match left, or the Desk can't tell. After the season ends, no row shows a status, though the schedule may still list an unplayed match.

“Later matches” lists the club's team matches after the week.

“Latest results” gives the club's 20 newest results, with a square for each line.

“Players” lists everyone on the club's rosters that season. Whoever played the most lines for the club comes first, so the club's regulars lead, and a tie goes to the higher Desk level. It gives no position numbers. A Desk level is the Desk's estimate of how someone plays now.

  • “Women”, “Men” and “Players” are a list for each gender, and one for anyone else.
  • Each row gives the NTRP rating, the Desk level and “Teams here”: the club team the player played the most lines for, then a count of their other teams there.
  • A team can carry a name of its own, so that name shows under its players.

“Seasons” has a row for each season the club had a team, from 2022, each opening that season's page.

A club page lists the teams USTA lists on that club's own page, which the Desk reads once a day.

A team whose name holds two clubs, such as NOVATO TC/PIONEER PK, is on both clubs' pages when USTA lists it under both.

  • The clubs list has every club with a page. To open it, choose Clubs on Browse.
  • Player, match and league pages link each club they name.
  • When you're signed in, the sidebar links the club of each of your teams this season, unless the team has two clubs.

With a Desk Pass, you see each line's win chance in the club's team matches before they're played, when the other team is on the Desk too. This season's club page shows the link See each line's win chance under the week, and it opens the pricing page.

Lists and counts leave out anyone withheld by request. The page never ranks one club against another.

The Desk records how pages are used, including what is typed, and keeps recordings for up to 30 days, as the terms explain.
