Ask the chat good questions
Name a team, a player or a league, and ask for something the chat can look up, like “Who plays for BELVEDERE TC 18AM4.0A?” Here's everything it can look up.
Name the team or the player
Section titled “Name the team or the player”Use the team's full name as the site prints it, because a shorter name can match several teams. BELVEDERE TC 18AM4.0A, for example, is Belvedere Tennis Club's Adult 18 & Over men's 4.0 team. If your words fit more than one team or player, the chat asks which one you mean.
Ask what it covers
Section titled “Ask what it covers”Ask what it can look up, or which leagues it covers, and its answer counts the teams and clubs the Desk covers today.
Turn a weak question into a good one
Section titled “Turn a weak question into a good one”- “Scout a team by name” names no team, so the chat has nothing to look up. Name the team instead.
- “How is my team doing this season?” needs to know your team, so sign in, or name the team.
- “Scout BELVEDERE TC 18AM4.0A” asks for a written analysis, and that needs a Desk Pass. Ask who plays for it instead, for free.
If the chat can't answer
Section titled “If the chat can't answer”- The chat says the answer needs a Desk Pass. Its reply lists what's still free, like a roster or free scout.
- You asked about a team the Desk doesn't cover. It may offer your own team, the covered clubs or areas, or a request for that area.
- The chat turned its answer down. It couldn't match a figure to a result. Ask about one team, player or matchup.
- You've reached a limit. Read how many questions you get.
The Desk records how pages are used, including what is typed, and keeps recordings for up to 30 days, as the terms explain.
